Handmade stoneware ceramic mug. 

Made with an earthy clay and fired in a reduction kiln to provide the distinctive speckle, as part of our Forest range. Glazed in white matte with a feature of exposed clay at the base. This glaze is slightly different to the mist white.  It has a lovely blush of brown where the glaze is thinner, such as around the rim.

A reduction firing is where the chemistry of the clay and glaze is manipulated during firing by starving the kiln of oxygen. This process draws the iron out of the body of the earthy clay I use and creates the much loved speckle. 

For lovers of generous cups of tea and coffee with approximately 370 ml capacity.  This cup is perfect to hold in your hands.   

Dimensions are approximately 10cm high and 8cm at the rim, not including the handle.
