We love clay and know you will too ...

We also know taking a few hours making things with your hands is especially good for your soul. Take one of our classes or workshops and experience the addictive fun of clay for yourself.

Our classes are taught by Lea Durie and are suitable for both beginners and people with some clay experience wanting to learn new things, or have some more studio time. We keep classes small with a maximum of 6 people to make sure you have lots of individual attention.

What people say about our workshops ...

"The Leggy Workshop with Lea was a perfect balance of fun, creativity, friendly people and delicious food.  I was surprised at how easy it was to make a pot that looks great and that I love. Lea provided the perfect guidance to help it have every chance of success! " Celia

"What a lovely experience! Some of us were beginners and some more experienced. Lea encouraged us all and gave pointers and assistance as needed to guide each of us to making our unique pots. Success was assured with such a calm, quietly spoken and knowledgeable mentor at our sides." Denise

"Lea’s leggy pot workshop was the relaxing day retreat I needed. Amongst the beautiful farmstead setting in Braidwood, our small group learnt hand sculpting techniques to create, relax and enjoy working with clay. With homemade treats, cups of tea, good company and a generous lunch by the fire pit… I also managed to create a number of lovely clay pieces which now decorate my home." Michelle

"I did one of the leggy pot workshops with Mud Dept. and it was amazing. Beautiful atmosphere, great instruction, small group of interesting people, lovely clay, great service with the firing and delivery of my finished pots. Plus yummy snacks and the most tasty lunch. I had a brilliant time, and highly recommend." Rebecca
