For lovers of cups. Make your very own cup and small dish or saucer in this hand building class.

The wonderful thing about handbuilding is that all that is needed to make beautiful objects are clay, your hands, and perhaps a few simple tools. Although even these are not essential. In this workshop you will learn these ancient techniques, still relevant today, and come away with skills you can use to make just about any ceramic piece.

Over three hours Lea will take through the process of designing your perfect cup and making and decorating your cup and saucer from start to finish. You will be guided on what makes a cup both good to use and beautiful to look at.

You will learn how to make a cup from slabs, coils and pinching techniques and get to choose which one you love like best. Lea will also teach you how to attach a handle to your cup and decorate with stamps, carving and colour, using a few different techniques.

Your pieces will be glazed and fired and returned to you, ready for your favourite morning tea.

Suitable for total beginners and those wanting to try new things.  Classes are limited to 6 people with lots of attention for everyone.
